AS WE enter 2022, it is more important than ever to be respectful and display kindness and generosity to our fellow Australians, regardless of their views and beliefs.
We may have all come on different ships, but we're in the same boat now. We are all in this together.
We may not be able to control what's happening, but we can control the way we respond to what's happening. We can all cope with this crisis so much better if look out for each other with care and kindness. If ever there was a time to be kind, it is now.
Let's applaud our health workers and dedicated teachers. Let's be gracious and respectful to our supermarket staff, service providers and decision makers.
Let's uplift each other because we rise by lifting others.
And don't forget our local businesses who are doing it really tough.
They are always willing to provide prizes for raffles, items for charity, school and sporting events.
The list is endless.
They are always there for us.
As a way of saying thank you, I encourage us all to make a conscious effort to shop locally.
