A woman has been airlifted to St George Hospital after being run over by a tractor in a farming accident on Tuesday.

A 66-year-old woman was assisting orange pickers in an orchard on the outskirts of Leeton, helping another worker disconnect and reconnect trailers to tractors to remove full crates.
The driver of the tractor was a 47-year-old woman, who had just had a full trailer disconnected and was reversing into an empty one.
The driver lost control of the tractor and ran over the 66-year-old woman.
Emergency services were contacted, with police and ambulance attending the scene.
The 66 year old woman was conveyed by road ambulance to Wagga where she was stabilised overnight, before being airlifted to St George Hospital in Sydney where she remains in a critical condition.

Police established a crime scene which was examined on Tuesday evening, where they seized the tractor.
The 47-year-old woman was charged on Wednesday with a negligent act causing grievous bodily harm, and has been given conditional bail.
She will appear at before Griffith Court on April 11.
