Mrs Frazer, along with her husband Peter, is moving to Brisbane to not only retire, but be closer to her daughter and grandchildren who live there.
The couple purchased an old Queenslander home and Mr Frazer, a builder by trade, has been renovating the house since the start of the year.
Mrs Frazer is well-known in Leeton shire thanks to her 40-year retail career and her work with various community groups.
She choked up when the realisation dawned on her she would be leaving so much behind.
“I’ll miss all of the people here the most … I’ve got beautiful friends, family and customers here,” Mrs Frazer said.
“A lot of them have been taking me out for lunch to say goodbye … it’s been a bit of a long goodbye because I did give my boss nine months to find another manager.
“I’ve been in retail for more than 40 years … a lot of people have called me ‘miss Pine Avenue’, which I don’t mind. It’s been a good career for me.”

The retail landscape has changed over the decades and Mrs Frazer has watched it happen from the box seat.
If there’s anything she would like to see on her visits back to Leeton it would be for the empty shops to be filled and for residents to be doing their shopping locally.
Alongside that sentiment is another, involving more young people using their time to volunteer with the shire’s many and varied charities and community organisations.
Mrs Frazer has been involved in many herself, including the MIA branch of MS Australia, the St Peter’s op shop and the Leeton Breast Cancer Support Group to name a few.
“I just want to say a big thank you to everyone for all of their love and support over the years,” she said.
“It’s a big move, but I’ll definitely be back to visit. My dad is still here as well. It’s going to be a big change for us.”
However, with grandchildren to keep her busy in Brisbane, Mrs Frazer was looking forward to getting involved with their lives and school, so she couldn’t see herself slowing down anytime soon.
“I think we just want everyone to know we love Leeton and we’ll miss it here very much,” she said.
“The most immediate challenge for me now is making sure all of my clothes and shoes fit in the car for the drive up there.”
Di’s final fundraiser
Di Frazer has held and been part of many fundraisers for charities and community groups in Leeton shire.
Her final fundraiser will be held on Wednesday night at Kendells Shoes.
Residents have been invited to attend the third “pink runway” fashion show where breast cancer survivors will talk to the catwalk to show of the latest in winter fashion.
A lucky door prize and raffles during the night will feature, as well as light refreshments.
Entry is a donation to the Leeton Breast Cancer Support Group, with the night to kick off from 6pm until 9pm.
