The Leeton Motor Sports club is hosting the Long track classic again for super sedans, which will be held on Saturday evening at Brobenah Speedway.
Nominations are coming in hard and fast the club is expecting the best from around Australia to take on the fast track.
The defending champion of the long track classic is Callum Harper and he has is focus set on the Leeton track after a successful year.
Harper won the Australian title earlier this year and, after breaking the lap record at the last Leeton meeting, he will be the one to beat on the night.
However, with a field like Brad Wicks, Lachlan Onley and local Wayne Aylett ready to give him a run for his money, anything could happen.
Other categories on the night will be Street Stock, Production Sedans and GOSA Sedans. The NSW SSA Street Stock Title will also be held, along with the Graham Bourke Memorial and the Ray Chaffey Memorial events.
The hot favourite in the NSW SSA Street Stock Title, which will take place at the Leeton track for the first time in history, is defending champion Peter Thompson.
In the Graham Bourke Memorial for Production Sedans, Graham’s son and another local racer Wayne Bourke will once again be putting it all on the line as he attempts to achieve a three-peat in the event, having fittingly won top honours during the past two seasons.
A total of 11 drivers will be hoping to make it difficult for Bourke, including former NSW champion Damien McAlister and his brother Craig, and Leeton’s Danny Harrison and Nathan Hawkins.

A strong field of 12 GOSA sedans are gearing up to battle it out in the Ray Chaffey Memorial, where they will be hoping to steal the crown from last season’s winner Frank Gordon, another Leeton driver who knows just what it takes to win on the huge 940 metre track.
The track is also hoping for a small, but competitive contingent of Legend Cars to join Saturday night’s program.
Gates open at 4pm, with racing getting underway at 5pm.
