United were under the pump early with Young having a shot on goal in the second minute.
United’s goal keeper Katie Burley made a fantastic save putting the ball out for a corner.
From here, Leeton pushed back with Toni Lamont slotting a ball past the Young defensive line in the fifth minute to Courtney Smith.
However, she wasn’t so lucky in netting the ball, but the two sides then battled it out for the next 10 minutes.
United broke through the Young defence multiple times to have a shot on goal, but were unable to slot it past the keeper.
This tired the small Leeton side, who conceded four quick goals between the 23rd and 32nd minute of the game finishing the half at 4-0.
Coach Mark Powter said the break at half-time was vital.
“A pep talk, some field restructuring and a rest made a huge difference in the second half with Leeton dominating the first 10 minutes,” he said.

“Catherine Gray, Charlie and Toni Lamont, Eliza Armida and Courney Smith made several breaks past the Young defense to have shots on goal, but this wasn't enough with Young turning the game around to secure another four quick goals in the 10th, 12th, 16th and 21st minute taking the score to 8-0.”
In the 23rd minute Armida was able to seal United’s sole goal of the day.
This weekend they will play Cootamundra.
Leeton United remain in eighth position on the ladder.
