The news wasn’t as good for the Leeton Greens when they lost their battle with Hay, 28-14.
The Hawks had been searching for a victory after several close losses and were able to do so with astounding skill and team work on Sunday afternoon.
The Sharks were not match for Yanco-Wamoon as the cruised to the easy win thanks to eight tries and seven successful conversions.
Tess Staines was at her brilliant best, crossing the line four times, while Madi Coelli came away with two of her own.
Holly Sheldrick and Abbey McCloskey were the other try scorers for the Hawks.
This weekend they take on the Darlington Point-Coleambally in what should be another easy win for the Hawks as the Roosters haven’t been able to get on the board this season.

A loss won’t alter the fact they will be playing finals football this year, but a win would do wonders for the team’s confidence as crunch time approaches.
