German company ib vogt is proposing to develop a commercial scale solar farm located roughly one kilometre north west of Yanco and on the south-western outskirts of Leeton, within the Leeton Local Government Area.
The Yanco Solar Farm would have a capacity of approximately 72 MW (DC), would occupy about 200 hectares of land and would connect to the Yanco Transgrid Electrical Substation.

ib vogt is holding a second community information day for the proposed solar farm on December 11 between 1pm and 7pm in the Leeton Shire Council chambers.
Residents wanting to discuss the proposal can drop by within this time-frame and chat with representatives from the company.
