The Lions Club of Leeton's literacy program has been handing out books to young bubs for many years with the help of sponsorship.
The district governor for the region was recently in town to not only hear about the program's many successes, but thank those involved.

Gavan Ellis paid a visit to the Leeton branch of Beyond Bank where he presented an appreciation certification for their sponsorship efforts.
As part of the program, with the co-operation from the child and family health nurses and the club, a child's birth date is recorded and a voucher sent out to participants on their first to their fourth birthdays.
Mr Ellis' term as district governor ends on June 30, with the role to then be taken on by Peter Bright from Forbes.
