The Leeton side recorded a 15-5 score to get the much-needed points over the Albury Steamers.
Stout said the Dianas dominated the first half.
"I thought it was one of our best games in a long time," he said.
"We were able to maintain a lot of pressure during the game.
"Unfortunately we did have a few chances that could have been converted into scoring opportunities, but we were happy to get the win."

The Dianas are sixth on the ladder and will this weekend be heading to Wagga to take on the third-placed Waratahs.
A win will certainly boost their chances of making this year's finals series and Stout believes the side is up to the challenge.
"We've had Molly Wright come into the team and she's very good in both attack and defence, which helps lifts the side," he said.
"Our leaders are doing well and we've got some great young talent in there too, so we're looking good now and into the future too.
"After getting the win last weekend in Albury, their confidence is up, so hopefully they will take that into this week's match."
