The Hawks are currently in second position on the Group 20 first grade ladder, but are on equal points with first-placed Waratah Tigers.
The Mallee Men are third, just one game behind.
Yanco-Wamoon will be using this week's match up to not only see where they are currently placed against a top side, but to also further cement a top-two finish for the regular season.
Coach Troy Preston is wary heading into the clash.
"West Wyalong are a good side ... they have a few quality players," he said.
"The side just seems to mix well together.

"It's definitely going to be a challenge for us, but it will be a chance to see where we are at."
The game will be played at Yanco Sportsground on Sunday afternoon.
Last time the two sides met was on the Mallee Men's home turf in round eight where the Hawks picked up a critical 18-12 victory.
Preston said there was little separating the sides in that game and expected a similar hit out this time around.
"I don't really think you can take much out of that one into this game," he said.
"There wasn't much in it and it's probably going to be the same again on the weekend."
The Hawks will be eager to be pushed to their limit, with Preston acknowledging there would be no easy games moving forward.
"There never really is any 'easy' games, but now it's almost finals, you can't be putting a foot wrong," he said.
Next weekend Yanco-Wamoon will face old rivals in Leeton in the local derby in what will be the last match of the home and away season before finals get underway.
After last week's showing against the Yenda Blueheelers where the Hawks made several errors, Preston said he would be looking for his team to minimise their mistakes.
"I think this weekend whoever controls the ball and limits their turnovers and mistakes will win," he said.
"We leaked 32 points against Yenda last weekend and a lot of their scoring was off our own errors. We definitely need to put a stop to that."
