Public schools across the state recently marked the week to celebrate achievements and all that is good about school life.
At Yanco Public, that meant a whole host of activities, including an open day to kick things off.
"Yanco Public School families and special guests attended for the opening of our new special programs classroom - the kitchen garden classroom and we had a presentation of a plaque for our new vegie garden beds," principal Tarnya Grigg said.
"We had a good crowd attend our open day.
"The boys and girls dance groups performed, the kindergarten, years 1 and 2 choir groups sang and our students performed their Thelma the Unicorn KROP performance.
"We had a lot of students away sick in recent weeks, so keeping up with rehearsals was difficult.

"The students were very well behaved and performed well.
"Our week concluded with our normal Friday session of Little Learners."
