The group recently received close to $12,000 following a successful Girls Night In fundraiser.
Organsied by Lorraine Robertson, the evening was aimed at the women of the shire, who in turned flocked to be part of the night knowing they were helping a good cause.
As a result of the money raised on the night, those funds have now been officially handed over to Leeton Can Assist.
MORE NEWS
The group will use the funds to assist those residents in the shire who have been diagnosed with cancer.
They do this through many different ways, including helping to bridge the gap between the city and country for patients.
Can Assist helps with the costs of transport, accommodation and at its basic level, a shoulder of support.
Their primary aim is to help local residents.
Leeton Can Assist is also the selected charity of Ambassador Quest entrant Tamara Bartram.
