The ovals are in the process of receiving a new irrigation system, with work getting underway within the last week.
The new system has been made possible thanks to grant funding from the government after applications were made to access the funding.
Leading the charge with this process was the Leeton and District Cricket Association, which helped secure the $118,000 grant.
It has been a long time coming for the ovals, which are used by all manner of sporting, school and community groups for a range of events, training, competitions and carnivals.
