A new pavilion is soon set to be constructed at the showground after funding was gained from the federal government's regional agricultural show development grants program.
Close to $92,000 has been allocated to the Leeton Show Society, which will go towards the construction of $91,936.36 a large zincalume roof cover over the existing netball courts at the showground.
The aim is to increase exhibition space when the Leeton Show is held, as well as facilitating year-round community use.
The society was grateful for the funding injection, but will likely need to raise several thousand dollars in order to complete the project.

Society secretary Janne Skewes and president Bill Aliendi discussed the project with Member for Farrer Sussan Ley on site at the showground recently.
"The big thing was we were short on a pavilion space for the show and this was something we thought was needed and could be used for many different purposes," Mr Aliendi said.
The project won't be completed in time for this year's Leeton Show, which at this stage is slated to still go ahead.
However, planning and designs are well underway, with a development application also set to be lodged soon.
"This is an impressive idea and it's really good to see it will have a range of purposes," Ms Ley said.
"It's great to see forward thinking from organisations like the Leeton Show Society."
