THE Dianas may have went down in their last match of the season, but the team can hold their heads high, according to coach Stuart Stout.

The Leeton side was defeated 45-15 by Wagga Ag College on Saturday, but the match was much closer than the scoreline reflected.
The Dianas were right in the match at half-time, down 20-15, but injuries in the second half unfortunately put a dampener on their performance.
"The score was a bit one-sided in the end, but with it being 20-15 at half-time, that's a credit to the girls," coach Stuart Stout said.

"I think the Aggies were a bit stunned at how we were playing.
"We only had two reserves. In the second half we had three injuries, so we only had nine players."
Aggies lent Leeton a player in the second half after those injuries to make it an even billing, but it was in the last 10 to 15 minutes that the Wagga side scored a number of tries that blew the eventual score out.
"I was very impressed with our girls and the 'never-give-up attitude' that they always have," Stout said.
"There were some really good performances on the day.
"Demi Leighton, it was only her second game, she scored two of our tries.
"Paris Crelley tackled really well and so did Amanda Rourke.
"Everyone played really well."
While the Dianas didn't qualify for the finals in the shortened season, the competition did afford more new players to join the team and try out rugby.
Stout hopes many of those players return next season when the Dianas will look to build on their strengths once again.
"You always want to be in the finals, but to get six games of rugby in and have a number of new players in the side, it's still been really good," Stout said.
Southern Inland is also in the process of organising a summer sevens competition for both men and women which will be held over two weekends in late October and early November, which the Dianas will be taking part in.
In the meantime, they will now be supporting the Phantoms second grade side as their finals campaign gets underway.
