Sister Janet Glass has been part of the fabric in Leeton for the better part of a decade, helping many in their time of need through her palliative care work, lending a shoulder to many and being the go-to friend for countless others.
Her happy demeanor and kind spirit means her absence will certainly be felt in the community.
Sister Janet has headed off to Goulburn where she will be continuing her good work.
"After I settle in, I'll be looking for something exciting and different to do, but not so taxing," she said.

"Because I spent a number of years working as a chaplain with prisons in NSW, I'm looking to connect with families of prisoners, particularly in the courts doing pastoral care work.
"That's in the pipeline. I've always wanted to go back to that ministry."
Sister Janet's work in Leeton shire over the last eight years has had the pastoral care focus, which also extended to the Barellan community.
She also assisted schools with their scripture programs, participated in many community events and much more.
So, what will she miss most about the area?
"I'll definitely miss the people the most," Sister Janet said.
"This is a very hospitiable place. I actually when to boarding school here for 12 months when I was a young girl as well. So I've always had a connection to this place. I've also got relatives here as well."
Sister Janet spent her last couple of weeks in Leeton tying up loose ends and enjoying many small farewell get togethers with community members.
One of those people was Father Robert Murphy, who said Sister Janet was a great friend to many.
"I'll definitely still be coming back every now and then," Sister Janet said.
"I'm looking forward to what comes next and to helping many more people I hope.
"I'm lucky that my work can be very rewarding, but it's the people you meet and the connections you make along the way that I love the most."
