It just goes to show how much golf in Leeton is such an important part of the community and how popular it is.
It's really stood the test of time, there's no other club in NSW like it that has the same sort of event with such high popularity.
Adding to that is the course is looking fantastic and can only get better.
The player of the week for round 4 in her first outing for the season was Larry's Mates' Christine Wallace.
She was the only one of the 259 starters to break 30 nett with a brilliant 29 yesterday afternoon.
That coupled with solid performances from David Cross 32 and Sammy Hopper 32 have sent Larry's Mates straight to the top of the twilight ladder and captain John Hill didn't even submit a card.
Chris wins the Superwash premium car wash token as the round four player of the week and a seven-stroke handicap reduction applies.
Other notable performances came from Dean Stanmore and Rod Emerson.
Both had par round 36's off the bat less their six handicaps equals nett 30.
MORE SPORT:
Great stuff lads, also on 30 nett was Kyle Pete, clearly the most talented golfer out of the McDonell building group.
Peter Fraser and Adam Mannes had five under 31s.
Dom Mercuri, Ross Farlow and Glenn Morris had 32s and Mark Pete, Tony Nardi, Paul Burley, Ryan Mahalm, Kimmy Handsaker and Lindsay Fysh round out the mentions on 33 and the ball competition went to all players on 34 or better again.
This weekend is the Leeton Golf Club's third and fourth round of the championships.
Twilighters are reminded that week five this weekend has limitations on availability to play.
If you'd like to play on either Saturday or Sunday mornings, it needs to be before 9.15am or after 12.30pm.
Players are reminded the MS Charity four-person Ambrose is on and set to go on November 22.
The timesheet is on the pro shop counter and times will start to fill for one of Leeton Golf Club's most popular events.
