St Peter's Anglican Church in Leeton has been on the front foot, making plans to ensure festive services can be shared with one and all as COVID-19 regulations do still place limitations on what can and can't be done regarding religious gatherings.
"We thought that Christmas was going to be 'silent night', but from December 7 with the relaxing of restrictions, we are able to increase the numbers in the church building," Father Robert Murphy said.
"Once again we are able to sing as well.

"As long as we keep the two-metre rule, we can have as many people as we like, as long as that two square metres in applied."
This means St Peter's usual program will continue, with a 6pm and 11.30pm service on Christmas Eve and 8.30am on Christmas Day.
However, the church has made arrangements for those who can't make it or prefer to follow on from their homes in the lead up to Christmas.
"As we were preparing for Christmas, thinking the big restrictions would still be in place, we decided to put together a virtual carols service," Fr Robert said.
"We haven't had Light Up Leeton or Carols in the Park, so over the last few weeks we've had members of the congregation record readings, as well as several parishioners and the Leeton Town Band record songs.
"So, thanks to all of those efforts we have been able to produce a virtual carols service.
"This will be on our Facebook page.
"A little bit like an advent calendar, we will stream a different portion on different days in the lead up to Christmas."
