Sharing financial advice is all part in a day's work for banking staff, but the Leeton branch of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia have been able to put some vital dollars towards worthy work happening in the shire.
Every year the branch donates money as part of its community grants program, with its most recent recipient being the Leeton Community Op Shop.
Branch manager Sue Limbrick said donations were made twice a year.
"Every branch has the opportunity to give $500 to a not-for-profot organisation within their town ... it's something we get to choose ourselves," she said.

"The whole idea is that it will help the community.
"We think the community op shop is a really worthy recipient so we're happy to help out."
The op shop has a wide variety of programs within its hub in the main street.
Not only does it operate as an op shop, but there are many and varied welfare programs that also operate from the centre.
The op shop has recently purchased a community food van that will assist in many ways.
It is also hoping to start a new program where it distributes basic hygiene items to children in the community where families may be struggling.
The idea would be these items are given directly to the children themselves.
"It would surprise people I think to realise how many children go without basic essentials in our community for a number of reasons and circumstances," Ms Limbrick said.
