While there is no Breeders Plate this year after scheduling changes, there will still be plenty of action at Lin Gordon Paceway on Boxing Day night, as well as the evening of New Year's Day.
A two-year-old final will be held on Boxing Day, as well as heats for the Golden Apple Superstore and Milbrae Quarries races, with the final for those two events to then be held on January 1.
"The quality should be good, the two-year-olds is a bit of an unknown, but we are expecting for it to be a good race," Leeton Harness Racing Club's Joanne Punch said.
MORE SPORT:
"The others we will likely have three or four heats for those, they are always very well supported every year.
"They always turn out to be good races."
Crowds are welcome at both meetings, with the club encouraging residents to pack some of their festive leftovers to enjoy a picnic on the grass with their friends and families.
The Lions train will be running and it is also free entry for both meetings. There will also be some music to keep the crowd further entertained.
COVID regulations, including signing into the Lin Gordon Paceway on arrival will also be applied.
The Carnival of Cups on January 1 is also expected to draw attention.
"That's our Pacers Cup, the lady driver's and the finals of the other races, so we're expecting a good night then as well," Punch said.
"We're hoping the two meetings will be well supported.
"It will give people something to do during that Christmas and New Year period.
"We haven't been able to do a whole lot this year, so this is a great chance for everyone to get out and enjoy some harness racing."
