The Santa Express was a mode of transport Santa isn't used to riding, trading in his sleigh for the Leeton Lions train.
The train took Santa all over town throughout the early evening over the course of the last two weeks where he was able to meet children and hear their Christmas wishes.
A jolly wave or two and the delivery of some lollies with the help of his elves and Santa proved to be as popular as ever in 2020.
The idea behind the Santa Express event was to spread festive cheer in a year that has meant cancelled events, including Light Up Leeton.
People were encouraged to find out when Santa was visiting their area of town and head out to wait to greet him, even enjoying a picnic dinner on their front lawns as he approached with the whistle of the Lions train.
Santa is typically given a rockstar welcome by children every year at Light Up Leeton when he arrives in Mountford Park for the concert and carnival, so there was no way he was going to miss out on seeing all of his young favourites in 2020.
For now, Santa is busily putting the final touches on his presents and checking his list, twice, before making his final visit to all the homes in Leeton shire on Christmas Eve.
