While 2020 through both senior and junior sport into disarray, there still was plenty of sporting news to report on.
In this year in review, we take you through the back pages from The Irrigator over the months of January, February and March.
In early January, it was also about harness racing as the MIA Breeders Plate and Leeton Carnival of Cups events were held at Lin Gordon Paceway.
There was also a look at the hopefuls vying for the 2020 sportsperson of the year titles, with several players from the Leeton Greens also selected to take part and represent in the Riverina Bulls team.
As February dawned, cricket returned to the pitch, but with hot weather and damage to the pitch at Mark Taylor Oval, it was tough going for sides wanting to get some consistent play.
As the weeks drew on and winter sport started to become a factor, the back pages start to tell the story of the COVID-19 pandemic starting to have an impact.
To start with events such as the Leeton Pro-Am and the Leeton Greens 100-year reunion were put on hold.
In our next year in review of these back pages, you will be able to see a representation of what happened next as codes and clubs responded to the pandemic and restrictions that were starting to be put into place.
