Officers from the Murrumbidgee Police District are investigating the cause of numerous grass fires near Whitton and Corbie Hill, which they say were deliberately lit.
The fires occurred between December 18 and 20.
At this stage, police reported the fires were lit by an "unknown person or persons" along the roadway in these locations.
The Rural Fire Service had several brigades respond to emergency calls and attended to extinguish the fires.
Police have asked anyone with information to contact Leeton or Griffith police.
Investigations into pub fight continuing
A BRAWL at a licensed premises in Leeton is being investigated by police after they were called to intervene.
Six men, aged between 20 and 50, were allegedly involved in a physical altercation at a Leeton venue around 10.50pm on December 19.
Police said by the time they had arrived the fight had settled with officers speaking to all parties involved. Investigations are continuing into the incident.
Bike stolen, parcels missing
A BRAZEN thief has stolen a motorcycle from a property in Leeton.
Police said an unknown male walked into the yard of a Leeton home about 1am on December 19 and wheeled the Husqvarna 250cc motorcycle away.
Anyone who may have seen or noticed this incident occur should contact police.
Police are also looking into the theft of two parcels which was stolen in Golf Course Estate around noon on December 16.
An unknown person has stolen the packages from two separate homes shortly after they were delivered.
