IN OTHER NEWS:
However, landing this invitational meet is quite a big deal for the club, having never hosted one in Leeton before.
Leeton-Yanco Swimming Club head coach Dan McKenzie said Leeton's own top swimmers would be taking part.
"There's 42 different active swim clubs in this region ... so we're looking at a decent amount of people coming to town for this big event," he said.
"It's great news for the town and a good chance for us to test the new pool and facilities in a big way.
"We've got our own club carnival the next day so it's a big weekend of swimming."
SISA president Tom Murphy said emerging talent would be in the pool on the day.
"These are the swimmers who are knocking on the door of representing SISA at state swimming meets in Sydney in the near future," he said.
"SISA is really committed to providing a competitive pathway for all swimmers, irrespective of their ability. I am proud to say all SISA meets provide multi class races for swimmers with a disability.
"This meet will be for many, the first time they have competed under the banner of their former zones (Murray, Riverina and South West) and at a meet of this level."
Murphy was also keen to check out Leeton's upgraded pool, predicting it would now be the benchmark for pools in this part of the state.
