Last Tuesday Elaine Sullivan and Judy Heness along with Dot Semmler and Hilary Chambers travelled to Wagga to compete in the championships.
Semmler and Chambers had a win in the first round only to be put out of the competition in the second.
Sullivan and Heness made it through to the semi-finals, which was held on Thursday.
The game was even on the second last end, but unfortunately Wagga RSL won the last end by two shots, giving them a place in the finals.
Back on home soil at the L& the rain held off long enough on Thursday, allowing three games of triples.
Patti Wakeman, Jan Walker and Gill Beer were the drawn winners after defeating Lorraine Mullins (who scored a resting toucher) Joan Arnold and Joan Bourke 14-7.
IN OTHER NEWS:
It was a close match between Joan Lloyd, Faye Harris and Balvinda Glover playing Janet Bell, Hilary Chambers and Jan Fitzpatrick. Bell was seven shots in front on sixth end, but Lloyd gained the upper hand, after winning five of the next six ends, to win the match by one shot.
The combination of Denise Naylor, Marika Pete and Dian Colyer and some great bowling, proved to be to much for Dot Semmler, Lorraine Messner and Dian Colyer, winning the match 13-7.
The next monthly meeting will be held after play this Thursday.
