Leeton creator Jason Richardson will be screening a short film on April 2 that was written by his partner Jo Roberts.
Ms Roberts is known by many Parkview Public School students for teaching ethics classes in recent years.
"The film is an invitation to fly to the moon and, while astronauts usually take days, we're able to take a group there within about 15 minutes," Mr Richardson said.
"I've edited together visuals to accompany her reflection on the moon, exploring the roles it has played for earthlings, and the film uses eye-catching footage from various space agencies."
The screening will take place at the CWA Hall located with the Leeton Community Centre in Wade Hall on April 2 at 7pm.
Later in the month on April 17, Mr Richardson will be screening The Lost World, a classic film from 1925.
This could be confused with the Jurassic Park movie, as it features dinosaurs, but it's remarkable how the film-makers back in the early 20th Century anticipated the recent trend for black and white releases of popular films.
"My contribution to this film is an original soundtrack and the project was supported by Western Riverina Arts and Create NSW through the Country Arts Support Program," Mr Richardson explained.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The Lost World is based on a book by Arthur Conan Doyle, who is famous for writing the Sherlock Holmes novels.
This screening will also be held at the CWA Hall on April 17 at 7pm.
"These films are all suited for a general audience and I encourage everyone to join me at CWA Hall to travel through time and space," Mr Richardson said.
"A gold coin donation would be appreciated to help cover costs for the screenings.
"They're good activities for the school holidays and we appreciate the support.
"As locals producing creative material, it's good to be able to share our work with local audiences."
