It was the second race meeting the club has held after taking on the Carrathool races in February, and Jockey Club president Grant Fitzsimons was pleased with how things panned out on Saturday.
"We were happy with the day on the racing side of things; it was really good," he said.
"There were some good fields and some good racing. The winner of the cup won quite convincingly. It was quite a good horse that came up from Victoria out of Wangaratta."
The Andrew Dale trained horse Namarari took out the main event after shooting six lengths clear heading into the back straight before holding on to take the win by two and a half lengths.
It is the second time Dale has taken out the Leeton Cup, having won with Biding Time in 2018.

Despite having to compete with two other major sporting events around the area, Fitzsimon was pleased with the crowd that turned out.
"Our crowd was on par with the meeting we had in February, but we were a little bit down on previous years," he said.
"There were probably a couple of reasons for that. There was a rugby league knockout in Griffith and the first round of the RFL, so that affected us a little bit, but we were more than happy with the crowd."
Fitzsimon was full of praise for the track work team after the praise that the condition of the track received from all parties involved.
"I was talking to a fella that has been coming to the races for thirty years, and he said it is the best the track has ever been," he said.
"We got really strong praises from the racing officials from NSW Racing and really good praise from the jockeys and trainers in regards to how the track was presented, so we are pretty proud of that.
"A lot of work goes into it from only a small group of people, and I'm really proud of what they do on our track."
The next meeting at the Leeton Jockey Club will be on September 27, while the 2022 Leeton Cup has been pencilled in for April 9.
