Netball
Parkview Public School's representative netball have won their third LNPSSA netball championships in foour years following a competitive day at the Leeton Indoor Stadium recently.
In the opening game, PPS recorded a convincing 47-0 victory over a determined Small Schools outfit.
The second match of the day was the LNPSSA final against Narrandera. Parkview played outstanding netball in the first half to jump to 16-3 lead at half-time. The second half had Parkview extend its winning margin. The final score of 24-7 secured them the LNPSSA title and sent them to the Riverina quarter finals to be hosted later in the year.
In further good news, Josephine Irvin, Miya Hoffman and Abigail Blacker were selected to attend the final Riverina netball trial on May 11.
Basketball
A strong run of recent Riverina basketball representatives has continued for Parkview Public School, with Xavier Chilko and Josephine Irvin both selected in their respective Riverina PSSA teams for the up coming NSWPSSA Championships.
Xavier is this week representing at the NSWPSSA Boys Championships in Terrigal.
Meanwhile, Josephine will play in the NSWPSSA Girls Basketball Championships in Penrith from June 1 to 3.
Aussie Rules
Meanwhile, PPS student Cruze Dale has been selected to represent Riverina at the NSWPSSA AFL Championships in Byron Bay from May 4 to 6.
He will play a minimum of six games against the state's finest primary aged footballers.
Soccer
Parkview Public's representative boys and girls soccer teams have scored a rare double, winning both LNPSSA Championships recently.
The boys team won their title against Leeton Public School with a 1-0 win.
IN OTHER NEWS:
They progress to the next round of the NSW PSSA Knockout.
The girls were able to see off Narrandera 2-1 in round one before the final against Leeton Public.
At the end of play, the match was 0-0, but Parkview were able to rally in the penalty shoot-out to take the match 3-2.
