Held at the Leeton High School ovals recently, the LPS sides took out both the boys and girls divisions.
The boys had strong wins in the rugby league against both St Joseph's Narrandera and St Joseph's Leeton to progress to the final.
In the decider they again played strongly to make their way through to the next round.
The league tag girls started with a strong win against St Joseph's Leeton two team and followed this up with a narrow win over St Joseph's Narrandera.
They then ran out convincing winners against St Joseph's Leeton one team.
"On the day we were pleased to see such fantastic teamwork, sportsmanship and determination from our students,' Leeton Public assistant principal Catherine Tabain said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"While all students were integral members of the teams they played in, the players of the day awards were presented to Matilda Wynn and Izac Andjal."
The next round of the Mortimer Shield competition will be played in Wagga at a later date where the Leeton Public sides will be pushing to play their best and take home the honours again.
