United are off to Tumut where they won't be taking any chances against the home side.
While no doubt thankful the longest road trip of the season is now rather in the middle of the winter, United won't be taking their opposition lightly.
Leeton has already taken the first step in defending their Pascoe Cup first grade title having easily accounted for Tolland 11-0 in their opening clash of season 2021.
That game was followed by a bye, with United spending their time wisely on the training club, holding an intra-club scratch match last Thursday night.
First grade coach Frank Alampi said this was followed by a solid hit out on Tuesday, with a final session held on Thursday night.
"Tumut are a massive challenge over there," Alampi said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"No matter what team they have on the park, over the years they are always hard to play at home.
"Last year we really struggled against them. We did come away with the win, but they were really tough.
"The boys and I after the game gave them a lot of credit."
While Leeton United is talking down their chances of going back-to-back, it is certainly something that is in the back of their minds.
While the team has lost some players during the off-season, Alampi said he had full confidence in his senior squad.
There have been several new additions to this squad, including several backpackers, with the coach working on where he thinks they might be best suited within the senior men's sides.

"We've got a really good squad this year ... we did lose a few and some of those guys like Sam Pirrottina, Conor Edenden and Dan McKenzie we're really missing at training," Alampi said.
"They had that ability to really lift everyone up at training."
While that may be the case, Alampi was hoping McKenzie might make a return later in the season.
For now, the team is eyeing off the job at hand and that is securing another win this weekend against Tumut and ticking off what will be a long road trip.
