It has been a mixed start to the season for the United side with a win, draw and loss from their first three games, but coach Frank Alampi isn't too concerned.
"We didn't have a great preseason with only the one trial match, so we are looking ok," he said.
"We are more disappointed with the draw against Tumut than we are with the loss to Hanwood. We were obviously disappointed with it. We plan to try and peak at the right time of the season, which we have done to the last few years and even before that.
"Are we playing great? No, we're not, but we aren't playing terrible either. There are patches that we play really well, and then there are patches when were aren't playing great, but that's what the season is about."
Leeton will be without the services of Jarrod Sillis heading into the weekend, but Alampi was full of praise for the performance from stand-in keeper Jake Shelton.
"We had Sillis pull out just before kick-off, so we had to change a few things, and Jake Shelton had to go in goal," he said.
" He hasn't played much in goal, and he hasn't trained with us, but he is a good little keeper, so we didn't lose too much.
"It doesn't look like it (Sillis will return) at this stage, but we will see how we go.
"We will wait till later in the week, and we will assess a couple of the other boys who had some niggles before Hanwood that we decided to play, but we will have to reassess them as well."

Heading into this weekend's game Alampi is confident if his side is able to play the football they are capable of, they will be in a good position.
"They (Wagga United) usually play pretty good football, to be honest, so we will just be expecting that," he said.
"We will go out and just worry about our game. I haven't seen them play yet this year, so we will go out and play our game, and hopefully, the boys can put together some good football, and the result will look after itself."
First grade will kick off at around 3.30pm on Sunday.
