The Crows were right in the A Grade clash before the Lions were able to hold on to take a 52-50 win.
It is shaping up to be a close contest in the top division with three teams currently locked on two wins each, and the Crows just outside the top five means a win against winless Narrandera is crucial this weekend.
Meanwhile, A reserve was able to keep their strong start rolling on with a 40-35 victory over the Lions, which sees them stay undefeated just ahead of Turvey Park and Mangoplah.
