The day marked a particular charity effort for the teams, with proceeds from the day going to Nguumbay Leeton. Nguumbay distributes food and necessities to those in need, and is run by Leeton Community Care Development Inc.
Leeton president John Hill was happy with how the day panned out.
"We had two really good games of rugby," he said.
"Unfortunately, the men went down by one point, but it was a really good entertaining game, and the women went down as well.
"It was supported with a pretty good crowd, and from a charity perspective, I think it was a pretty successful day."
