Three games of triples were played on the morning.
Winners of the day were Patti Wakeman, Faye Harris and Helen Symes, who started strongly against Joan Lloyd, Jan Fitzpatrick and Joan Bourke.
Their consistent play gave them a win, 18 to 10.
Elaine Sullivan, Jan Walker and Jan Carroll were defeated by Judy Heness, Mary Payten and Marika Pete 17 to 15.
Although Sullivan's team fought back after the 11th end they lost three shots on the final end to give the win to the opposition.
IN OTHER NEWS:
In the third game Dot Semmler, Joan Arnold and Gill Beer started slowly against Lorraine Mullins, Hilary Chambers and Gill Beer (who played a double lead). However, once they found their rhythm they played well to defeat Mullins team 22 to 13.
Elaine Sullivan was the winner of the lucky door prize.
The first round of the club fours championship will be played on Thursday. Roll up at 9.40am.
