Brooke, a year 12 student, recently represented the Riverina in netball, the only player selected from the wider Leeton community in the side.
After trialing alongside 60 girls in Wagga, Brooke was selected and made the open high schools team, playing 10 games against teams from the greater Sydney catchment and across regional NSW.
"The trial in Wagga was really tough, all the girls who I was playing against were really good, so it was super exciting to be selected to participate in this competition," Brooke said.
Brooke spent three grueling days in Orange, playing in centre and wing attack against the very best of high school netball talent in the state, winning eight games, drawing one and losing one to Sydney South West.
"It was physically exhausting, but considering none of us had ever met or even trained with each other before, I am really proud about how our team came together in this competition," Brooke said.

"We worked hard to represent the Riverina and blow all the city teams out of the water and now I have found some lifelong friends because of it."
The talented student also plays in division two of the Barellan and District Netball Association representative team and has just finished playing in the State Titles held in Sydney over the Queen's birthday long weekend.
"It's a really supportive sport and everyone encourages you to just have a go and do your best, I just love the team aspect of it," Brooke said.
