The school recently took the opportunity to present Education Week wards to members of the community who have been recognised for making significant contributions the school.
Education Week awards acknowledge students, staff and community members for their contributions to the school community.
This year's recipients at Parkview Public were:
- Students Cruze Dale, Gracie Daly, Salvatore Alampi and Imogen Lang for student leadership. All four of student leaders are proving to be outstanding student leaders in the fine tradition of the Parkview leaders who have gone before them.
IN OTHER NEWS:
- Carolyn Payten (staff recognition): Carolyn is a highly-valued staff member at Parkview Public, who makes wonderful contributions to education for the school's children, especially in the area of special education in her valued role as a school learning support officer.
- David Mills (community recognition): David has been a valued voluntary contributor to the Parkview community for the last 15 years and the school said it was grateful for the long-standing support he has offered its students and P&C.
Education Week was held at the end of July, with schools across the shire celebrating their role in delivering public education to the community.
With restrictions in place, many virtual activities took place in 2021 to allow parents and community members to still be involved.
