Gralee School is hoping to harness the powers of these two together as part of its latest fundraiser.
The school's artificial turf in the playground area is in desperate need of replacing with money raised to assist in covering these costs.
One quote for replacing the turf has come to around $50,000 and, while the school will certainly be seeking other costings from different companies, there's no question about it they will need extra help to cover the project bill.
The school has started an online raffle where people can visit and purchases their tickets with the knowledge they are not only helping the school, but that they will also be in the running to win a year's supply of chocolate.
"It's 10 kilograms of a Cadbury block of chocolate for first prize and a Cadbury hamper for second ... it's all online at the moment, but if things open up we will look to sell raffle tickets in person again," Gralee School principal Carly Rae said.
"We're trying to fundraise now to replace it because some of the areas are pretty well torn and a hazard. The kids love playing out here in the playground.
"The worst tear is in a section that's not even walked on when that area is being used, which is concerning that it's so damaged.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"We need to get it fixed because these are areas where the kids love playing."
The playground area at Gralee School has come ahead in leaps and bounds over the years with great equipment, soft fall, shade sails and the like, but the artificial turf and its longevity remains a concern.
"We're lucky that we always have such great support from our families and school community every time we do these fundraisers," Mrs Rae said.
"The beauty of the online raffle is anyone can access it at anytime of the day.
"We'd certainly appreciate people just buying one or two tickets. We'll also be planning other fundraisers in the future."
