Wamoon Public and students from across the state were required to learn from home during the recent lockdown period.
It was a quite turnaround for them, as well as staff, but Wamoon Public principal Matt Collins said his students had been up to the challenge.
"Staff were impressed with our students engagement during a challenging time in their education (and life)," he said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"We were in a much better position to handle lockdown 2.0 with students familiar with online platforms.
"We held daily Zoom meetings where students had the opportunity to see their friends and teacher.
"During this time, we focused on wellbeing activities, including scavenger hunts, trivia and fun games like Pictionary."
The school also used the Zoom platform to read stories, teach maths concepts and instigate discussions. Staff provided one-on-one support to students who needed help.
Mr Collins said it was all hands on deck throughout the lockdown period.
"All staff made phone calls home weekly to check in with parents," he said.
"We sent home Father's Day gift bags for students to make a chocolate pizza for their Dad or significant male.
"We received some wonderful pictures of the process and finished product."
Students will return back to school next week following the holiday break.
