Lorraine Mullins & Jan Fitzpatrick after coming from behind took control of the game and defeated Dot Semmler & Lorraine Messner also 29/10.
Elaine Sullivan & Joan Bourke who were eleven shots down on the 10th end, slowly closed the gap and after scoring four shots on the last end defeated Joan Lloyd & Jan Carroll 22/17.

In a much evenly match game Hilary Chambers & Marika Pete defeated Patti Wakeman & Jean Leighton.
With only one shot the difference on the 14th end, Chambers & Pete scored five shots giving them the edge to go on to win 18/11.
