That result is now in, with the councillors elected for the next term being:

The councillors will be getting straight to work before Christmas, with a meeting to be held on Wednesday night at the council chambers from 6.30pm.
IN OTHER NEWS:
At this meeting, the councillors will take the oath of office and affirmation and, importantly, they will then vote on who the new mayor and deputy mayor of Leeton shire will be.
At this stage it is believed two councillors - George Weston and Tony Reneker - will likely throw their hat in the ring for the mayoral position.
