Recently the Yanco CWA hall on the main street in the town was sold.
However, this has created some confusion.
Members have been asked by people in the community "have you close down?" and "what a shame you had to close".
But none of this is the case.
Yanco CWA is still going, bigger and better.
Club president Liz Walsh explained what was happening.
"Unfortunately the cost to the group of maintaining an increasingly run down building meant that we had no funds left over to help the Yanco community," she said.
"We have 22 current members, ranging in age from their 20s to 70s, and we hope to recruit more in the new year.
"We will just be meeting at another venue in Yanco."
IN OTHER NEWS:
The CWA has many branches throughout Australia and fundraises to help rural women in their local communities.
It also supports more nationwide causes such as drought relief, bush fire relief, and research into diseases such as endometriosis.
Mrs Walsh urged women in the community to consider being part of the group.
"I would encourage any women who were looking for a group to join to come along to one of our meetings or social gatherings," she said.
"We are very friendly and inclusive and have a lot of laughs.
"We aim to support as many women as we can in the local community and show that the CWA is more than tea and scones."
The Yanco CWA is also set to be the beneficiary of some crucial fundraising itself in the coming months in the lead up to Easter.
Leeton SunRice Festival Ambassador Quest entrant Jemma Leeson has selected the organisation as her charity and will be holding several fundraising events in 2022.
The next meeting for the Yanco CWA will be the first Wednesday in February 2022 at a venue to be decided.
