The Lions Club of Leeton recently held its annual changeover dinner, reflecting on the busy year that was.
As part of the evening an induction ceremony of the new board of directors was held, with these club members now ready to guide the group through the 2018-19 year.
Ready to lead the charge is new president Sheree Collins, who will be ably supported by secretary Brian Collins, treasurer Don Graham, first vice president Frank Pirrottina and second vice president Adam Simpson.
Outgoing president John Wadsworth thanked the members of the club for their support and paid tribute to the number of dedicated and unselfish members who pitched in to make the year a tiring, but all-in-all a rewarding one.
Big year of projects
Every year the Lions Club of Leeton is out and about in the community doing what it it does best – raising money and providing a helping hand.
Perhaps most noticeable about the club each year is its famous Lions train, which residents of all ages have had the pleasure of taking a ride on, while knowing their donation is going to be put back in the community.
RELATED
As well as being involved in many community initiatives this year, the club has had a hand in sending students to the Licola Wilderness Camp, been part of the wider Lions eye health program, the youth of the year competition and much more.
New members are always encouraged.
