MLHD's public health director Tracey Oakman warned residents to be vigilant following the easing of restrictions which had led to travel around the state for the Queen's Birthday long weekend.
"We advise people to exercise caution," Ms Oakman said.
"The virus has the potential to spread very quickly when people are in close contact.
Ms Oakman said it was important to follow the state government's COVID-19 Safe guidelines to minimise the spreads.
"We continue to ask people to good hand hygiene and physical distancing. Please self-isolate and get tested if you begin to feel unwell." she said.
Leeton residents can be tested at a special clinic for the virus located on the hospital grounds.
