Councillors endorsed the plan for community feedback during and extraordinary council meeting.
The operational plan sets out what the Council will focus on from the July 1 until June 30 2022 to better the lives of residents of the Leeton Shire.
The 12 month plan and budget is derived from council's five year delivery program which was started in 2017.
Council's general manager Jackie Kruger said that the delivery program component of the document outlines what council intends to achieve on behalf of the community, while the operational plan component lists the actions council will undertake in order to do so.
"The capital works program we will be undertaking during the coming year is of an unprecedented scale for Council and includes works on important community projects," Mrs Kruger said.
Some of these community projects include:
- The redevelopment of the Roxy Theatre
- Chelmsford Place Town Square
- Leeton Golf Course Clubhouse
- Wamoon Sewer Scheme
- Gogeldrie Weir Recreation Reserve
- Art Deco Way Touring Route
- The Expansion of the public conveniences network
"Other capital works and infrastructure projects - such as council's comprehensive sealed road network reseal, rehabilitation and heavy patching program - will continue to be progressed during the year as council continues to deliver on its ongoing commitments," Ms Kruger said.
