The program is continuing at the school in 2021, aimed at children aged between three and five.
Held every Friday morning at the school, the time spent is all about "learning through happy experiences".
According to program co-ordinator and teacher Kara Kroek, Little Learners is not only fun, but it is planned around the Early Years Learning Framework.
This framework helps preschool-aged children start school with greater confidence.
"The program is organised and run by an experienced teacher and teacher's aide," Mrs Kroek said.
"Their mornings begin with creative play, which also incorporates lots of fine motor work to strengthen fingers and work on hand-eye co-ordination.
"Some favourites during this time are the dress-ups, kitchen café, play dough creations, small world play/making and threading.
"This opportunity (helps the) 'little learners' problem solve, build confidence and develop communication and social skills."
The participants also complete gross motor building activities such as a mini obstacle course, which involves lots of jumping and throwing.
Each week the group sing songs, dance, listen to stories and complete related craft activities to develop their listening and confidence.
The youngsters also develop their fine motor skills with gluing and colouring when creating craft connected to the book focus for the day.
They finish off their time together by eating lunch with Yanco Public School students and playing games with each other.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"The older students are beautiful leaders who set up and run extra lunchtime activities for the 'little learners' to enjoy, including sandpit play, basketball and soccer," Mrs Kroek said.
"(They) can't wait for even more enjoyable times over their year together."
Spaces for the program are limited due to its popularity and priority is given to families enrolling or considering enrolling their child at Yanco Public in the future.
Anyone wishing to apply can pick up an enrolment form from the Yanco PS office from Monday to Thursday during school hours.
