Josephine recently travelled to western Sydney to represent Riverina at the NSWPSSA Girls Basketball Championships hosted at the Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre.
She was selected for this opportunity following some outstanding performances at the Riverina trials held at the Lauren Jackson Stadium in Albury in March.
The Riverina team played seven games throughout the week, winning three of their matches and losing four games, three of which were by narrow margins.
This included a thrilling one-point loss to Western in the nine v 10 playoff game.
Josephine acquitted herself very well throughout the week playing as a guard and a small forward, averaging almost six points per game.
Off the court Josephine also enjoyed many highlights, including making new friends from across the state and experiencing city life.
For Josephine's class mates back at Parkview Public, it was also a unique experience as they were able to watch her games live via an initiative from the NSW School Sport Unit.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Matches from the championships were available to view live (and on replay) via a dedicated YouTube channel.
