The event will now be held in Leeton every Saturday morning after last being held on August 14 just prior to lockdown being introduced.
Leeton's parkrun event only started earlier this year on April 24, with organisers hoping for a smoother 2022 .
All up this year there were 17 events with an average of 53 participants per week and events were organised by 70 volunteers from the community.
Jason Sachs is one who has participated or volunteered at all of the Leeton events to date.
"parkrun is a great way for school leavers to meet others when they have to move away for education or work," he said.
"Even if you are not a runner you can walk, or volunteer." Another attendee who has enjoyed taking part at each event so far this year is Phyllis Guthrie.
"I have been coming to parkrun to participate or volunteer since it started and have met so many people of all ages that I haven't met before in Leeton," she said.
"I don't run, but walk. I look forward to it each Saturday."
parkrun is a free five kilometre weekly timed event where people can walk, jog or run, but it's also somewhere to volunteer for an hour to look after participants.
It is not competitive and is open to anyone, but people do need to register at parkrun Australia at https://www.parkrun.com.au/register/ to either participate or volunteer.
Strollers are welcome with many families currently joining in. It's on every Saturday at 8am at the Leeton skate park.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The event has had people from all over Australia attending.
The events will be happening on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
There is also a website dedicated to the Leeton Sport and Recreation Precinct parkrun, as well as a Facebook page. Both these provide information about the event, otherwise head down and speak to volunteers on a Saturday morning.
