The crew from ABC's Back Roads television program were in Leeton last week filming the shire, as well as meeting and interviewing local personalities.
The idea behind Back Roads is to showcase the people and places off the usual route.
Leeton's iconic history and its work with multiculturalism attracted the eye of the program and will play a big part of the show once it goes to air.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The Leeton episode is the first to be filmed for Back Roads' 2022 schedule, with presenter and reporter Heather Ewart encouraging residents to keep an eye out for when it goes to air.
"This episode will go to air for our winter series, which goes to air mid next year," she said.
"We've been doing all sorts of things. We've been out at Lillypilly which was amazing and with Rob Houghton on his farm.
"Our theme is the multicultural aspects of Leeton. We've been spending time with Ken Dachi and his wife (are hail from Kenya), there's been many wonderful meals and stories shared."
The crew also filmed other locations around town, including SunRice, but also the Leeton Farmers Markets, aiming to display the town's vibrancy and the characters who live here.
"I love the sign Leeton has welcoming everyone to town ... it's a really lovely gesture, but I do know a lot of work is going into multiculturalism as well," Ms Ewart said.
"This is a very multicultural community and I think that really sets Leeton apart.
"I love coming out to places like Leeton and meeting the people who live here. I grew up in a country area, so it can really feel like coming home.
"I always enjoy that."
