Titled My Australia, Mr Pike refers to the book as "the musings of a patriotic bushy from the Riverina".
Mr Pike has strong ties to the Leeton and Riverina region, having now moved away.
However, the book highlights his passion of the region and he hopes it can inspire others to invest in the future of this area.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Mr Pike spent most of his working life as an irrigation farmer and, in 1961, was officially the first person to use water from the Snowy Scheme when the water was turned on at Farm One, Coleambally.
Now retired, Mr Pike has more time for writing both poetry and commentary relating to the environment, the land and the communities in which he grew up, worked in and passionately loves.
In the book Mr Pike publishes poems that tell the tales of his life, of the experiences he has had and then he goes into more depth of just what these musings mean.
He also goes into further detail of his life and observations he has made and garnered along the way.
There's many important themes along the way and he even has some words of advice for the media included.
Mr Pike also discusses democracy, the "drought of common sense" and much more.
What is evident throughout is Mr Pike's commitment to the land and how the Riverina region continues to remain vital in today's landscape in all manner of ways.
