Her case in point is the state government finally coming to the party recently and agreeing to upgrade the decades-old female boarding accommodation at Yanco Agricultural High School.
Last month, the NSW Minister for Education Sarah Mitchell and the Murray electorate's duty MLC Wes Fang announced the planning for the upgrade to school's boarding facilities would begin by the end of term four.
Mrs Dalton, along with the school's P&C and senior students led the charge on the issue after it was revealed the accommodations were not up to the proper standards required.
Complaints centred on the heating and cooling of the facilities, the fact they were converted demountables that were promised to be upgraded years ago and more.

"It takes pressure to get something delivered ... we were able to get Sarah Mitchell out there to look at the accommodation and that has really made a big difference," Mrs Dalton said.
"It's just pressure and putting a case together.
"It's been 27 years of neglect, so something really needed to be done.
"It's fantastic news and we do welcome it."
Mr Fang said the upgrade would secure the school's future for years to come and would encourage more students to study agriculture at the school in the MIA.
"I invited the minister to Yanco earlier this year and we both toured the school," Mr Fang said.
"Together, we agreed on the need for this upgrade and have worked to ensure the NSW government started the process of that upgrade."
Mrs Dalton said with young females continuing to do big things within the agriculture sector upon their graduation, it was so important to ensure they had the correct and appropriate conditions when living and studying at the school.
"I'll work with the principal and P&C to see what else they would like to see done out there ... kids come from all over the state to attend Yanco Ag, so we need to make sure everything is up to scratch," she said.
"This is the heart of agriculture right here."
